Rancho Cordova Schedules Free Notary Day

A “Free Notary Day” will be held at the Rancho Cordova City Hall on Saturday, March 12th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Two City staff members, Bren Lehr, Deputy City Clerk, and Jessica Crone, Accounting Technician, will process documents and affix their signatures and official seals at no charge. Appointments can be made by calling (916) 851-8775; however, walk-ins are welcome.

Notary publics serve as impartial witnesses, generally in the signing of important documents such as property deeds, wills, and powers of attorney. They do not write the documents but certify the identity of the document-signer.

“We love Rancho Cordova and wanted to give something back to the community,” said Crone. “So we approached the City’s Office of New Ideas to volunteer our services and then scheduled the free event after we got the group’s approval.”

During their work hours, Crone and Lehr serve as notary publics for City documents. They both have completed special training and passed the State test. For additional information, please call Crone at (916) 851-8775.

City Hall is located at 2729 Prospect Park Drive; (916) 851-8700 (phone); (916) 851-8787 (fax).
