Victim stabbed to death; cousin of suspect

Earlier Wednesday morning, Sheriff’s detectives arrested a sixteen-year old male for a homicide that occurred yesterday evening in south Sacramento. About 9:57p.m. Tuesday night, deputies responded to an apartment complex in the 7300 block of Stockton Boulevard regarding a man who had been stabbed numerous times. The victim was transported to a hospital, and died of his injuries several hours later.

Several other individuals were at the residence when the incident took place, and identified the suspect as a cousin of the victim. Information was that the suspect had fled the location after the attack. Detectives conducted investigation throughout the night, and ultimately located and arrested the suspect without incident at a residence in Sacramento County.

The suspect was to be interviewed by Sheriff’s Homicide detectives, and then he will be booked into the Sacramento County Juvenile Hall on a single charge of murder. Due to the suspect’s age, his identity is not being released.
