Downtown County Clerk/Recorder Extends Hours for Valentine’s Day

Up to 70 marriage ceremonies typical each year

The downtown Sacramento County Clerk Recorder office will stay open until 8 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, February 14th to accommodate the annual rush of marriage license and ceremony services. Appointments are recommended and additional fees apply after 5:00 p.m. The office will be closed the previous day, Monday, February 13th, for Lincoln’s Birthday.

“ Valentine’s Day is always a great day at the Clerk/Recorder’s office,” said Don Nottoli, Chair of the Board of Supervisors. “Every year the office is filled with expectant couples, friends and family and the employees do a wonderful job making their day special.”

Where: 600 8th Street, Sacramento, CA 95814 – Downtown location only Visuals: Up to 70 ceremonies may be performed in one day. Media is invited to attend but must obtain permission from the bride and groom. Donna Allred will be available all day for media inquiries and interviews.
