Suspect Takes a Bite Out of Crime

On Tuesday night shortly after 7:00 p.m., Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Wal-Mart superstore in the 5800 block of Antelope Road, regarding a shoplifting suspect being detained by loss prevention personnel. The suspect, Breyon Wilson, 20, was uncooperative with officers and refused to identify himself.

When deputies arrived and prepared to take Wilson into custody, he attempted to run away from them. Deputies had to struggle with Wilson, who bit one of the deputies on the arm before he was eventually subdued and placed under arrest. The deputy went to a local hospital for evaluation, but did not sustain any significant injury as a result of being bitten.

Wilson was transported to the Sacramento County Main Jail and booked on charges including mayhem, battery on a peace officer, resisting an executive officer, committing a crime while out on bail, and theft. He is currently being held on $125,000 bail.
