District Attorney Jan Scully announced today that the Honorable Greta Fall sentenced Alfredo Tafoya to 80 years to life in prison.

District Attorney Jan Scully announced today that the Honorable Greta Fall sentenced Alfredo Tafoya to 80 years to life in prison.



Last month, Tafoya was convicted by jury of two counts of second degree murder in the shooting deaths of Carlos Montes and Efrain Zambrano. On November 28, 2009, Tafoya shot and killed the victims at a quinceañera celebration inside the Estrellita Ballroom in Galt.

Tafoya was arrested days later when he was found hiding in an apartment.
