Two Convicted In North Highlands Pharmacy Murder

District Attorney Jan Scully announced that Kelvin Peterson and Bernard Reed were convicted by jury of first degree murder. 

District Attorney Jan Scully announced that Kelvin Peterson and Bernard Reed were convicted by jury of first degree murder. 

The jury also found true the special circumstance that the murder was committed during the commission of a robbery. On September 2, 2010, Peterson and Reed shot and killed store clerk Tania Gurskiy during a robbery at a North Highlands pharmacy store.

Peterson and Reed face a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole. Sentencing is scheduled for June 1, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in Department 40 before the Honorable Troy Nunley.
