Four Sacramento Women Arrested For Elk Grove Shoplifting Spree

Four Sacramento women were arrested Saturday afternoon after a suspected shoplifting spree at two Elk Grove stores.


Four Sacramento women were arrested Saturday afternoon after a suspected shoplifting spree at two Elk Grove stores.

According to Elk Grove Police, officers were dispatched to the Once Upon a Child store on E. Stockton Blvd. regarding four women who shoplifted several bags of merchandise and left the store in a black SUV. At the same time officers were taking the report, another call came in from the nearby Toy R Us store involving the same suspects.

The black SUV was spotted entering northbound Highway 99 and an enforcement stop was initiated near Sheldon Road. After the occupants of the SUV were detained, officers were able to positively identify them as the suspects wanted in both incidents.

The four suspects, 28-year old Lee Christian, 23 year old Parrish Smith, 26-year old Patricia Washington and 34-year old Tara Nelson were arrested and booked into the county jail. Washington remains in custody on a $121,000 bond from unrelated charges and probation violation; Nelon remains in custody on $110,000 bond and for probation violations and Smith remains in custody on $70,000.
