This Tuesday, April 16, former Sacramento King Mitch “The Rock” Richmond will be returning home. Richmond, in collaboration with Lisa Parker, local investor for the Sacramento Kings, will be hosting a one-night event introducing the Rock Life Campaign. This campaign aims to raise awareness and take action on serious issues affecting teens and young adults. The introduction of the Rock Life Campaign, to Sacramento, is a heart-felt “Thank you” to his home community for all the support fans have shown throughout the years.

The all-ages event, in partnership with Crown Downtown and California Coalition For Youth, will take place at LowBrau Brewery, 1050 20th Street in Sacramento, California. Doors open at 6:30PM. The press conference will begin promptly at 7:00PM. Featured speakers include Mitch Richmond, Mayor Kevin Johnson, Lisa Parker and Rock Life Program Director Valerie Sheppard. A meet and greet with fans will take place from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The event will also feature entertainment by Sacramento-based hip-hop duo, DLRN.

Rock Life, founded by Mitch and Juli Richmond, is a campaign to raise awareness of and take action on the serious issues of eating disorders, bullying, depression and suicide among teens and young adults. Partnering author and youth self-esteem coach Valerie Sheppard, the Rock Life Program will help teens and young adults build self-acceptance and self-love, create positive relationships, and make choices that bring more peace, connectedness, and success into their lives.

"There is too much beauty and power in life to have teens and young adults suffering and believing they have no place to turn. Rock Life will help them redefine strong and celebrate life regardless of its challenges." - Mitch Richmond For more information about Rock Life, visit www.mrocklife.com.
