District Attorney Jan Scully announced that Freddy Huante and Vincent Rivera were convicted by jury of first degree murder in the shooting death of Francisco Flores on April 14, 2011.


The defendants were also convicted for the attempted murder of Michael Flores. The jury further found the defendants guilty of attempted murder for shooting at a similar car occupied by Paul Amaro and his minor brother.

Both shootings occurred near the intersection of Northgate Blvd. and San Juan. Huante and Rivera each face multiple life sentences. Sentencing is set for May 17, 2013 in Department 42 of the Sacramento Superior Court.
