Sacramento Gang Banger Convicted of Murder, Could Face Life

District Attorney Jan Scully announced that Keith Williams was convicted by jury of first degree murder and that the special circumstances of lying in wait and committing the murder in furtherance of a street gang were found true.

The jury also convicted Williams of attempted murder with premeditation on a separate victim. On May 19, 2009, Williams, an active gang member, took part in a shooting which was precipitated by the exchange of gang signs. Williams faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Sentencing is scheduled for January 17, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in Department 11 before the Honorable Trena Burger-Plavan.
