Davis Rated Top Sacramento Region Suburb, 9th Overall in California

Among its suburban peers in the Sacramento region, Davis was ranked the best suburb in the Sacramento region as well as being in the top 10 suburb in California. 

The ranking, which was compiled by Niche.com gave Davis an "A+" rating making it first out of 20 Sacramento area suburbs measured.  Davis earned lk Grove earned an "A+" for public schools; "C-" housing; "A+"good for families; "B-" crime and safety; and "A+" for diversity.

Following Davis in the top five were Gold River, Folsom, El Dorado Hills, and Rocklin respectively. 

The Sacramento Business Journal's slideshow presentation on the local rankings featured a photo representing one of each of the suburbs' strengths. For Davis, a picture of their downtown shopping area was displayed as the symbol representing the best of the city. 

In the larger poll of the best 100 suburbs in California, Davis was ranked ninth overall. Earning the top spot on the list of California's best suburb was Los Altos Hills and the vast majority of favored suburbs were in the Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco metropolitan areas. 

The only communities in the Sacramento area and Central Valley in the top 100 were Davis, Gold River, Folsom, and El Dorado Hills which were ranked in 9th, 68th, 74th, and 99th place respectively.
