Early Morning Shooting in Stockton Leaves Leaves One Man Dead


Stockton Police are investigating a murder that occurred shortly after 6 a.m today.

Police officers responded to the 1800 block of est Acacia Street after receiving calls regarding a shooting. Officers found the adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound who was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

Witnesses described the suspects as two possible Hispanic males, 5’-09”, 180-190lbs, wearing dark hoodie’s and black pants. They were last seen running west on Acacia Street.

The Stockton Police Department is encouraging citizens to call if they have information pertaining to this investigation. Callers are asked to call the Stockton Police Department at (209) 937-8377, Investigations at (209) 937-8323, or Crime Stoppers at (209) 946-0600. Callers can remain anonymous.

The victim's name will be released by the San Joaquin County Coroner pending notification of next of kin.
