Stockton Police Arrest Man Who Allegedly Kills Dog, Barricades in House



A Stockton man was arrested after he allegedly killed one of his dogs and barricaded himself in his residence.

Early on the afternoon of Saturday, July 29 Stockton Police were dispatched to the 9000 block of Greensboro Court where they learned that a suspect in the residence had allegedly killed a dog. Officers also determined the suspect, Ricky Sopheap Tin, 24, had an outstanding warrant for assault with a deadly weapon.  

The suspect was inside the residence with a family member. Officers attempted to call the suspect who was inside with family members, out of the house for several hours, but they did not exit. It was unknown if the family member had been hurt or was in danger. 

After officers were able to help family member escape out of the residence through a rear window. Tin was arrested without incident. 

Officers were then able to arrest the suspect without incident. Tin is being held on a $110,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday, August 1.
