Stockton Police Arrest 18-Year Old Felon For Alleged Possession of Concealed Weapon

As part of the ongoing effort dubbed OneLessGun, the Stockton Police arrested a suspect today for carrying a concealed weapon.

The suspect was contacted by police officers from the Community Response Team during a traffic stop near MLK Boulevard and I-5. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, the rear passenger was found to be allegedly carrying a concealed loaded handgun in his waistband.

The suspect, Le’Var Smith Jr., 18,  was arrested for a  felon in possession of a firearm. Smith is being held at the San Joaquin County Jail on a bail of $550,000 and faces six felony weapons charges.
