Jury finds man guilty in Lodi manslaughter trial



In a trial jury that concluded today at Superior Court in Stockton  jury found a defendant guilty of manslaughter case in Lodi.

Raymond Austion Jazquett was found guilty of the second-degree murder for his part in the August 1, 2018 murder of Dr. Thomas Shock in Lodi. Jacquett was not prosecuted under a felony-murder theory of murder and therefore Senate Bill 1437 limiting accomplice liability for murder is not applicable.


Jacquett will be sentenced on September 30. 
The other defendants, Robert E. Lee, Mallory Stewart, and Christopher Costello remain set for trial. Because of their pending trials, the San Joaquin County District Attorney's office would not make further comment on today’s verdict.
The case is being prosecuted by the office’s homicide unit.
