Sacramento man arrested on suspicion of arson by Placer County Sheriff's

A Sacramento man was arrested on suspicion of arson by the Placer County Sheriff's Department.
On Tuesday, July 16 deputies sheriffs on patrol near North Foothill Boulevard and Athens Avenue in unincorporated Lincoln. One of the deputies noticed a man walking away from a rapidly growing grass fire on the north side of Athens Avenue.
Fueled by strong winds, the fire quickly grew. When the deputy contacted the man, later identified as Gary Ruble, 27, of Sacramento (pictured below),  he claimed he did not see the fire burning beside him. The fire grew rapidly to approximately 10-acres.
CAL FIRE crews responded and suppressed the fire. Arson investigators from the sheriff’s department and CAL FIRE also responded and conducted an arson investigation.
After the investigation Ruble was arrested. Ruble remains in custody at the Placer County Jail on a $150,000 bail.
