Folsom Police respond to street fight, 6 suspects arrested for robbery of marijuana

Folsom Police arrested six suspects after they allegedly assaulted and robbed a person who was selling marijuana products.

Around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30 police responded to Oxborough Drive and Whiting Way after receiving calls on a street fight. Responding officers found the fight still going on, with several people in a car who tried to drive away.

Officers determined that a group of teenage males had arranged to buy marijuana from an 18-year-old man from Folsom. During the deal, the buyers struck and kicked the victim repeatedly, and took the marijuana.

The victim was trying to recover the marijuana when police arrived. The victim was transported to an area hospital with moderate injuries and was later released.

Police recovered suspected marijuana, hash oil and counterfeit money from the suspects.  Two of the suspects, Andrew Argi Sanders, 18, of Folsom, and Gabriel L Katz, 18, also of Folsom, were booked into the Sacramento County jail.

Sanders and Katz will be charged with robbery, battery with injury, and conspiracy to commit a crime. Robert Anthony Perez Jr, 18, of Mather, was released to obtain medical treatment and will be referred to the district attorney for the same charges.

Two minors, ages 16 and 18 were booked into the Sacramento County Juvenile Hall for robbery, battery with injury, and conspiracy to commit a crime.  A 15-year-old minor was cited for similar charges and released to a parent.

The case will be reviewed and additional charges may be sought, including possession of marijuana for sale by the victim.
