North Sacramento shooting leaves two dead, investigation underway




A shooting on Auburn Boulevard has left one victim dead according to reports from the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.

Just after 4 p.m on Thursday, August 1, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting in the 5300 block of Auburn Boulevard.  Responding deputies two gunshot victims, one male, and one female. 

The male was pronounced dead the scene and the female victim succumbed to her injuries at an area hospital. There is no indication of any outstanding suspects at this time and a weapon was found at the scene. The relationship between the victims, if any, is unknown at this time.
The identity of the victims will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office after notification of next of kin.
